Aeron ni Ardigh

A daughter of House Delfin

Pale white skin, and hair the dazzling white of sea foam in sunlight. She has only a hint of her father's blue coloring, but her eyes are the same as his, blue or green iris, depending on her mood, and no visible pupil. She is a little taller than Morgan, coming to about five feet ten inches in height, and her weight is deceptively hard to guess, as she has the denser musculature of her Rebman heritage. She can play the lyre, is an excellent artist, and known to be very skilled with sword and trident. She also has an unusual ability. She can change into the form of a dolphin. This ability is very rare, but not unknown among the noble houses of Rebma. Arawn, her grandfather has it. Lir, legendary first king or Rebma and a distant relative, was rumored to have it. Her symbol of a silver dolphin on a sea blue field.

From Aeron's private diary

concerning the defense of Rebma during the time come to be called the Patternfall era as quickly glimpsed by Morgan...

The ocean is a brilliant green from the sunlight today, and under normal circumstances, I would likely be tempted to swim along the surface with my dolphin friends, arching a silvery back with the grace of nature, gleaming in the sun as if born to fly, but confined to the water. Even now, though it might be my imagination, I can almost hear whale and dolphinsong at the fringes of my perception, crying out to me, begging me to save them from the horrors the sea has relinquished. I can hear their screams, and it chills me to my marrow.

The water around me is of a darker sort, flushed with the ichor of those who come against us in these hated days. As above in Amber, so below in Rebma; the Black Road has found purchase here, just as it has in the land above, twisting and mutating the creatures of simple beauty into malformed beasts of insatiable need to kill and destroy. Sharks fell victim to such impulse first, their very nature being that of a predator, and easily warped by the influence of Chaos, followed swiftly by the kraken, octopi and other such denizens. The latest to come have been demons made from the water themselves, nearly intangible creatures who have only the most minor of substance, and who are proving exceedingly difficult to kill.

Well, for me at least anyway. Not more than 50 yards or so off, I can see Morgan fighting valiantly, routing a nest of demons he seems to have found, Aermacil flashing brightly despite the darkly stained water and the churning froth created by our movements. He is my oldest, and my best friend, and looking at him now, I can feel my heart beat the quicker for the look. Oh, my love! How bravely you fight! But, for the moment, I can only hover and gape and the sheer power he seems to hold at his fingertips. Aermacil flashes like lightning brought underwater, with each stroke sending the demons back to their hellish spawning ground with an explosion of steam and froth. He is a force to be reckoned with, as I believe they are swiftly learning.

But, what's this?! A force of sharks come to reinforce the demons and endanger the man I love! Nay, I must help him! I lost my sword when I was forced to leave it in the side of a great white and have been forced to let my body relax more and more, to let the talent for mutable flesh take more and more control of my actions and appearance.

No matter, Dolphins were ever an arch enemy of sharks and more than capable of dealing with them by streaking in to bash an enemy in the gills and sides, stunning them, stopping them. And everyone knows, even a few drylanders, that a shark that isn't moving isn't breathing and therefore dying. So I have rallied K'krri and some of his kin, and we darted to my bonny prince's aid. The battle was fierce, but short! Oh how spectacularly we fought that day! And my prince, a shining example to all! When oh when great Seahorse will Queen Moiré grant my love's request to let us be married?!
